As the French leader in high-altitude softwood processing, the Chauvin Sawmill benefits from an exceptional location. Located in the heart of the Jura forests, widely renowned in Europe for the top quality of their softwoods, the company is a member of Bois de France. Organized over 20 hectares, the industrial site meets the various demands of today’s and tomorrow’s market.
The Chauvin Sawmill is extending its expertise to the production of pellets. Aiming to maximize the value of its raw material, it will now transform its log sawdust into pellets.
100% local and 100% made from softwood, they will be marketed under the Jura Pellets brand.
A building is currently under construction on the sawmill site and will allow an annual production of 80,000 tons. It will start in April 2023./span>
Thanks to the performance of its sales network, the Chauvin Sawmill is able to respond to various requests from all over France. Its central geographical location in Europe favors a significant development towards neighboring countries year after year. Confronted with new cultures and new requirements, the Chauvin Sawmill is thus expanding the scope of its skills.
